Masonry Contractors in Bellport, NY

Bellport is one of our favorite towns to build in — the historic village core has some of the finest older homes on the south shore of Long Island, and the newer neighborhoods run east through South Country toward the barrier beach. We do a lot of estate-caliber work in Bellport: full paver driveways with Belgian block borders, bluestone stoops and front walks, natural fieldstone retaining walls, pool decks, outdoor kitchens, and stone-veneer front entrances. Historic-village restoration work — chimney rebuilds, brick repointing, tuckpointing on 100-year-old homes — is a real specialty of ours here.

Central Suffolk sits inland on deep glacial sand. It drains well, but winters swing hard through freeze and thaw, and any footing poured above the 42-inch frost line will heave a stoop or wall out of level within a few seasons.

Most Brookhaven streets are 1950s–80s capes, ranches and high-ranches. The masonry we rebuild most often is the original poured or block front stoop, settled brick walkways, and short landscape walls holding sloped front yards along the Route 112 and LIE corridors.

Failed stoops here almost always trace back to shallow footings or missing drainage behind a wall. We dig to frost depth, install clean stone and weep drainage, and reinforce every step so it stays put.

Bellport Village has its own permit and architectural review process for the historic core in addition to Town of Brookhaven's; we pull whichever applies and coordinate with the village on materials and details when needed.
