Paver Patios · Walkways · Outdoor Living

Custom paver
patios, hand-built.

Backyard patios designed for Long Island living — engineered base, hand-set pavers, and border detail that holds shape season after season.

Suffolk County, NY

Long Island's premier paver patio contractors.

A patio is where the summer actually happens — dinner outside, coffee at sunrise, a fire pit in October. We build it to hold up to all of it. Every APM O'Neill patio starts with a properly compacted stone sub-base, gets hand-set with tight, level joints, and finishes with cut borders and polymeric joint sand that locks the surface for decades.

We install in Cambridge, Techo-Bloc, Nicolock, Unilock, bluestone, and travertine — matched to your home's stone and trim. Family-owned, 30+ years, own crews only. No subs, no shortcuts.

What's built in

Details that separate a
good patio from a great one.

Engineered base

6"+ compacted stone sub-base, geotextile fabric, screeded bedding sand. No settling, no sinking, no birdbaths.

Hand-set pavers

Every stone placed by hand, tight joints, level courses, string-lined borders. Machine-set speed can't match this finish.

Belgian block borders

Contrast soldier-course or Belgian block frames give the patio a finished, architectural edge that holds shape for decades.

Polymeric joint lock

Polymeric sand swept, activated, and sealed — locks the surface against ants, weeds, and washout.

FAQ

Patio questions,
answered.

How long does a paver patio install take?

Most residential patios in Suffolk County run 5–12 working days from demo to final polymeric sand, depending on square footage, grade, and border detail.

What pavers do you install?

Cambridge (Layered Series, Ledgestone), Techo-Bloc (Blu 60, Villagio), Nicolock, Unilock, plus bluestone, travertine, and natural flagstone.

Do pavers or a poured concrete patio last longer?

Properly installed pavers outlast poured concrete on Long Island — they flex with freeze-thaw, individual stones can be lifted and reset, and there are no expansion-joint cracks to chase.

Do you handle drainage and permits?

Yes — grading, drainage, and Suffolk County permitting are all handled in-house under license # 58161-H.
